Vision:

EVI-GTI will be the leading sector-specific Institute for the Gas Turbine Instrumentation community, providing a focal point for all sector needs and solutions, promoting alignment of strategic aims, collaboration, co-operation (leading to the collaborative development of R&D proposals to EU Framework programmes), knowledge exchange, training and development and representing members' needs at every level.

Objectives:

Through its purpose-built, secure, 'virtual' infrastructure, EVI-GTI aims to:

  • Promote the interests of its members
  • Increase visibility of sector needs
  • Encourage increased instrumentation R&D funding through EU programmes
  • Operate a Strategy Forum to align instrumentation development needs, maximizing scarce resources
  • Organise Conferences and Workshops enabling information exchange and networking
  • Promote sector-specific Continuing Professional Development (CPD) using a blended learning approach
  • Provide sector-specific searchable database facilities
  • Aid the mobility of skilled people within the sector
